If you had to redesign your career from scratch, what would you change?
When I was a kid, I would bake because I was home alone in the 80s, a latchkey kid. So I had to feed myself, and I’d look in the cupboards to see what was there to eat. I would bake cakes and cookies and really enjoyed it. I think if I could do it all over again, I would probably go to a bakery school or a chef’s school. But, you know, I don’t know. Then, I have been into the culture, maybe. I think that the intersection of baking and hip‑hop might have led me there. But maybe I can still do it—who knows?
