Romance balance
I saw a trailer for House of Dragons, or whatever it's called. Basically, it's like a Lord of the Rings fantasy series on HBO; I guess it's a romanticization of European lore. I doubt there are comments about how this is a romantic version of Europeans, and that's because I think there's an abundance of factual, very unromantic, black-and-white history of Europe. That's quite the opposite of cultures like ours in the Philippines, where there isn't much factual literature available. There are probably only two or three good history books. Some of the old documents are in Spanish, which no one can understand or read, and they're not accessible. So I think when people complain, "Oh, we're romanticizing," it's because people will take that romantic version as fact. People may feel that I should focus on the academic stuff rather than the romance since there's an imbalance
