This was almost a decade ago when a stone was discovered that supposedly had script on it. I was interviewed, along with others, by a news reporter asking our thoughts, and most of us said it looked modern because of the handwriting style. University of the Philippines (UP) professors told us to shut the fuck up, saying overseas speculators should be quiet. That prompted me to write a thought piece about how these professors suddenly speak up, yet none have written books or done anything to benefit the public—only gatekeeping knowledge they supposedly kept behind the firewall of the education system instead of sharing it with the community. They tried to attack us, I called them out, and I think that’s an example of going against authority.
