Can you share a bit about your background and what inspired you to be so active in the Fil-Am community?
I grew up in the Bay doing the usual Lumpia x Family x Church. To me, Filipino culture until I found out about our own pre-colonial culture like writing, dance, tattoos. I lived in the Philippines for years and felt homesick. I didn't become active in the community. I became angry. And I turned that anger into work.
