AI and value
A lot of the arguments talk about value. It does for some because people pay for subscriptions, work on mundane tasks, use it to analyze X-rays to look for diseases, help them with their disabilities etc. Even the ones who make slop get some value. As someone who's dedicated a lot of my life to helping bring back a nearly dead writing system, I've heard the "no value" argument. I think people that say something has no value don't fully understand, have creativity, or care about the subject. Yeah, we don't need it like a lot of things but history shows that we as humans can find joy in things we don't need.
