Teaching
One thing that a cultural practitioner can control to prevent erasure: Teach someone. Not doing workshops where you tell your story to people who won't pick up the practice. Not passive social media posts. Actually sit down with someone for years showing them exactly how YOU do things that aren't public. Teach someone to be better than you. Teach to create future teachers. Teach them about the different types of people they'll come across, how to deal with criticism, talk about your mistakes, literally guide their hands. If you die tomorrow, who can do what you do? If your answer is NOBODY, you're not for preservation.
