Moving on from Batok
It's time to move on from the term Batok. I've been thinking about this for a while. It kind of suffered the same fate as Baybayin, where it's been—maybe it's just me and my circles—but I feel like there's potential, or maybe it has become controversial or sociopolitical, where the mere mention of it elicits this ferocious attitude where some folks won't be able to have a civil conversation even though it is semantics and honestly myopic.That's just another story to tell.Plus, it's another story to tell.
